With
true pride we are presenting unknown before document, which reaffirms
proud history of Polish Americans in San Francisco. It has been found TWO
MONTHS AGO at the Polish Museum in Chicago.
In
the year 1939 Saint Stanislaus Society, which was founded in 1889, was
celebrating fifty years anniversary, the Golden Jubilee.
The
cover of the document, which copy is enclosed, is originally indeed the
color of gold.
In
1930’s Saint Stanislaus Society was very active organization, which was
referred to in many different ways. All the names used are being displayed
throughout the document depicted here. One can see greetings and wishes
for Saint Stanislaus Society from the city of San Francisco mayor at the
time, national organizations from Chicago and also from local Polish
American community.
